Tour the home and outbuildings that once served as the residence of Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings (1896-1953), the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Yearling, as well as South Moon Under, Golden Apples, When the Whippoorwill, Cross Creek and The Sojourner. The historic site is open daily from 9 AM to 5 PM. Cross Creek is located Northwest of Orlando between Ocala and Gainesville. Admission to the grounds for 2008 is $2 per vehicle and tours cost $3 for adults and $2 for ages 6-12.
