Cretaceous Trail – DinoLand U.S.A. – Disney’s Animal Kingdom

A sign at the entrance to the Cretaceous Trail in DinoLand U.S.A. says it all: “You may not realize it but many types of plants and animals living today are survivors of the Cretaceous Era, the last great age of the dinosaurs. What you are about to see on the trail is a living past – trees, plants and animals that are either survivors or closely related descendants of a world that vanished 65 millions years ago.”

The self-guided Cretaceous Trail does indeed provide a short stroll back in time through a beautiful tropical forest that lies in the center of DinoLand U.S.A.

Note: The Cretaceous Trail is wheelchair accessible.

Other walking trails located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom include the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail in Africa and the Maharajah Jungle Trek in Asia.
